Isla Mocha

Isla Mocha is a treasure to hikers and nature lovers. Mocha is the Chilean counterpart to the Canadian west coast trail. The landscape is a blend of rocky beaches, mountain ranges, and rainforests. There is only one major road on the island and most locals only use horse-drawn carriages.  Almost half of the island´s territory is constituted as a dense forest of local trees such as Olivillo, Chilco, and Arrayan. The island is also home to many birds amounting to 102 different species.
